Donald John Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States on Tuesday in a stunning culmination of an explosive, populist and polarizing campaign that took relentless aim at the institutions and long-held ideals of American democracy.

The surprise outcome, defying late polls that showed Hillary Clinton with a modest but persistent edge, threatened convulsions throughout the country and the world, where skeptics had watched with alarm as Mr. Trump’s unvarnished overtures to disillusioned voters took hold.

The triumph for Mr. Trump, 70, a real estate developer-turned-reality television star with no government experience, was a powerful rejection of the establishment forces that had assembled against him, from the world of business to government, and the consensus they had forged on everything from trade to immigration.

The results amounted to a repudiation, not only of Mrs. Clinton, but of President Obama, whose legacy is suddenly imperiled. And it was a decisive demonstration of power by a largely overlooked coalition of mostly blue-collar white and working-class voters who felt that the promise of the United States had slipped their grasp amid decades of globalization and multiculturalism.

Whether the leftist crybabies like it or not, Donald Trump is going to be the next president of the United States. All of the Facebook comments, Twitter hashtags and protests in the world aren’t going to change that, either. It’s about time that they all just learn to live with. While we probably shouldn’t hold our breath on that happening, the rest of us can look forward to a Trump presidency with lots of hope, because there is the potential for our country to make a lot of actual progress over the course of the next four years.

It has been reported through Donald Trump’s first 100 days plan that he is going to focus closely on immigration, healthcare reform and creating jobs for the American people.

Katie McHugh of Breitbart reports, “Shaping immigration policy to benefit America is highly popular among voters: 54 percent want immigration levels halved or reduced to zero, a new poll has found. Another 58 percent said that illegal aliens should not be permitted to stay in the country, even if they do not commit a ‘serious crime,’ and 59 percent said that the first thing that should be done about illegal immigration is to require all U.S. employers certify that their workers are legal.” All of this makes a lot of sense as long as it doesn’t require the tax dollars of the American people in order to fund.

Hopefully Trump’s main focus will be fixing our country’s massive Obamacare problem, which is what has effected the lives — and bank accounts — of the American people. With us no longer having to pay ridiculous premiums in order to pay for the rest of the country’s medical procedures, we will all have more money to spend how we please.

Similarly, creating jobs for working class Americans is desperately needed during this time of technological growth. When so many jobs are being taken overseas — or destroyed due to the advancement of robotics — we should all be looking out for the American people. Donald Trump is a successful businessman whose knowledge could be extremely useful for all of us.

Regardless, a Donald Trump presidency is guaranteed to be much better than a Hillary Clinton one. Instead of enslaving the American people, Trump is going to do his part to lift them up and fix our country’s obvious flaws. We all need to overcome our differences and work together in order to — as Trump has been saying all along — make America great again.
